• International Experience

1. Worked as a visiting faculty (Commonwealth Medical Fellow) at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Freeman hospitals in Newcastle upon Tyne, England for one year, from October 1993 to October 1994.
2. Visited various parts of the world including the US, Europe and South East Asian countries to attend conferences, symposia and updates. Presented papers, delivered lectures and chaired sessions in some of these meetings.

8. Secretary of the ‘Clinical Society’ of Medical College, Kanpur. The society was responsible for organising guest lectures, symposia, medical debates and quiz programmes for post graduate students of the college.

1. Recipient of the coveted Commonwealth Medical Fellowship administered by the Association of Commonwealth Universities, UK and tenable for one year at the Medical School, University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, 1993 94.
2. Received honours in 5 medical subjects during MBBS 1980.
3. Recipient of Prof. MP Mehrotra University Gold Medal of Agra University for the best clinical performance in the MD (Medicine) examination 1984.
4. Founder President of Kanpur Diabetes Association, 2001 - 2005.
5. Governing body member of UP Diabetes Association for six years, 2001 - 2007.
6. Fellow of UP Diabetes Association, 2005.
7. Best IMA member award of IMA Kanpur branch in the year 1996.
8. Honoured by the social organisation ‘Hastakshar’ for commendable social work, 2005.
9. Honoured by the Lion’s Club of Kanpur for commendable medical services, 2006.

• Organisational Experience

1. • Organised the state level IMA Refresher Course as Organising Secretary in 1996.
   • Organised the Annual Conference of API (Association of physicians of India) - UP Chapter, in 2003.
   • Organised youth festivals in GSVM Medical College, Kanpur by the name of ‘Tarang’ in the years 2004 and 2005 as chief in-charge.
   • Regularly organising large Diabetes awareness and education camps for general public since the year 2001 every year.
   • Chairman scientific committee for the Annual Conference of UP Diabetes Association, Kanpur 2006.
   • Chairman scientific committee for the National Type-1 Diabetes meet, Kanpur 2006.
